Greg Barron

Sensei Greg Barron began his martial art training in 1960 with Raymond "Duke" Moore.  Also, in the same year during Sensei Greg's first year of studies at San Francisco State University he enrolled in the GoJu class with sensei Gesei Yamaguchi and stayed with him for a full semester.  Later the same year, trained with sensei Kenneth Schockey (a student of Richard Kim).

In 1968, it  was by "word of mouth" that he was to walk into the DAY STREET dojo at which Sensei John Pereira was the head instructor.  And it would be until 1993 that sensei Barron would remain one of sensei Pereira's students in the Wado Ki Kai system.  In 1972 he was given the rank of Nidan and in 1976 the rank of Sandan by sensei Pereira.

During 1978 until 1983 sensei Greg Barron was the martial arts instructor at the University of California Medical Center where he had given rank to David Gong, DDS (Nidan) and Jorge Aigla, MD (Sandan).

In January 2002 sensei Barron was presented the rank of Rokudan by grandmaster(s) Rick Alemany and Raymond "Duke" Moore.
